Deleting a Customer Gateway
You can delete a customer gateway that is no longer associated with a VPN connection.
This action deletes the identification of the resource as a customer gateway. However, it does not delete the resource.
Deleting a Customer Gateway Using Cockpit v1
Before you begin: Delete all VPN connections with which the customer gateway is associated. For more information, see Deleting a VPN Connection. |

Click VPC > Customer Gateways.

Select the customer gateway you want to delete.
The customer gateway is selected. -
Click Delete .
A confirmation dialog box appears. -
Click Delete to validate.
The customer gateway is deleted.Deleted resources remain visible for 1 hour.
Deleting a Client Gateway Using Cockpit v2-beta
Before you begin: Delete all VPN connections with which the client gateway is associated. For more information, see Deleting a VPN Connection. |

Click inside the Client Gateways dashboard to make checkboxes appear.

Check the box of the client gateway you want to delete.
The client gateway is selected and an action menu appears. -
Click
Delete.
A confirmation dialog box appears. -
Click Delete Client Gateway to validate.
The client gateway is deleted.Deleted resources remain visible for 1 hour.

To delete a customer gateway, use the delete-customer-gateway command following this syntax:
$ aws ec2 delete-customer-gateway \
--profile YOUR_PROFILE \
--customer-gateway-id cgw-73a7fba3 \
--endpoint https://fcu.eu-west-2.outscale.com
This command contains the following attributes that you need to specify:

(optional)
profile
: The named profile you want to use, created when configuring AWS CLI. For more information, see Installing and Configuring AWS CLI. -
customer-gateway-id
: The ID of the customer gateway you want to delete. -
endpoint
: The endpoint corresponding to the Region you want to send the request to.
The specified customer gateway is deleted.
Deleted resources remain visible for 1 hour. |
