The following pages on Cockpit v1 enable you to create and manage your OMIs and display information about them.

You can also use other tools. For more information, see Getting Information About Your OMIs and Getting Information About an OMI Export or Import Task.

OUTSCALE Machine Images Page

This page displays all the OMIs you can use to launch instances: OMIs that you created, and OMIs that other accounts have shared with you.

The state of the OMI. For more information, see About OMIs.

Hover over the colored dot for more information about a state.

scrNbRed 2

The name of the OMI.

scrNbRed 3

The ID of the OMI. This ID is unique and automatically created.

scrNbRed 4

The description of the OMI, if any.

scrNbRed 5

The account ID or the alias of the owner of the OMI.

scrNbRed 6

The architecture of the OMI. For more information, see About OMIs.

scrNbRed 7

The visibility of the OMI (Public or Private ).

scrNbRed 8

The operating system provided by the OMI (Linux or Windows ).

scrNbRed 9

If set to , the OMI is part of your favorite ones.

To set an OMI as favorite, click the corresponding star .

Click to display information about the block device mapping of the OMI:

  • Device Name: The device name assigned to the volume.

  • Volume Type: The type of volume (standard, gp2 or io1).

  • Volume Size (GiB): The size of the volume, in gibibytes.

  • Snapshot ID: The ID of the snapshot used to create the volume.

  • Delete On termination: Indicates whether the volume is deleted or not when terminating the instance.

To filter the displayed OMIs, click next to the search field, and check the boxes for the OMIs you want to display. The following filters are available:

  • Linux Platforms, to display OMIs with a Linux operating system.

  • Windows Platforms, to display OMIs with a Windows operating system.

  • Public, to display both public OMIs and the ones shared with you.

  • Outscale only, to only display official OMIs owned by 3DS OUTSCALE. This filter can only be selected if the Public one is selected too.

  • Favorite only, to only display the OMIs you set as favorite ones.

  • Mine only, to only display the OMIs owned by you.

By default, only Linux and Windows OMIs owned by you are displayed.

The name of the task, which you can add using a Name tag. For more information, see Tagging Your Resources.

The ID of the task.

scrNbRed 4

The type of task:

  • Snapshot: Export from or import of a snapshot.

  • Image: Export from or import of an OUTSCALE Machine Image (OMI).

scrNbRed 5

For an import task, the ID of the imported resource. For an export task, the ID of the exported resource.

scrNbRed 6

(OMI import tasks only) The manifest file of the imported OMI. For more information, see Importing an OMI from a Bucket.

scrNbRed 7

Further information about the state of the task, if any.

scrNbRed 8

(Snapshots tasks only) The completion progress of the task.

scrNbRed 9

One or more tags associated with the task.
