Subscribing To an OMI Product

As an OUTSCALE Marketplace buyer, you can subscribe to an OUTSCALE machine image (OMI) product from the catalog based on an hourly, free/open source, bring your own license (BYOL), subscription, or Microsoft Windows license offer, or a Mistral service.

When subscribing to a product, you are given access to all of its available OMIs, corresponding to its different versions and Regions of availability.

You can create virtual machines (VMs) from the corresponding OMI. For more information, see Creating VMs. You can consume VMs on demand or reserve one or more VMs to benefit from discounts. For more information, see About VMs > Reserved VMs and Getting the Price of Your Resources.

  • Seller partners can unpublish OMI products, for example if these have reached their end of life, or unpublish specific versions of OMI products. In both cases, subscribers and their organization administrators are automatically informed by email.

  • Once an OMI is unpublished, you cannot create VMs from it anymore. However, VMs already created from the OMI can still be used.

  • You can subscribe several times to an offer to reserve one or more VMs for another OUTSCALE account in your organization and/or in another Region.

  • You can also subscribe several times to a subscription offer to meet your organization’s needs.

  • The My subscriptions page enables you to view all your subscriptions to OMI products.

  • From this page, you can obtain seller partners' contact information, view or download the corresponding license agreement, and copy OMI IDs by deployment Region.
