Unpublishing a Product

As an OUTSCALE Marketplace seller partner, you can unpublish your products from the Marketplace.

You can unpublish an OMI product because the OMI has reached its end of life, or for any other motive. In both cases, subscribers and their organization administrators are automatically informed by email. Subscribers who have already created virtual machines (VMs) from an OMI that is then unpublished can continue using those VMs.

You can also unpublish outsourced products, but subscribers are not automatically informed by email by 3DS OUTSCALE. In that case, seller partners are responsible for informing their subscribers.

When a product is unpublished, its modification date and publication status are updated in the My products table.

Unpublishing a product implies that:

  • Buyers will no longer be able to view it in the Marketplace catalog nor subscribe to it.

  • You will no longer be able to view, modify, nor republish the product.

Unpublishing an OMI Product

In Case of End of Life (EOL)

To unpublish an OMI due to an EOL:

  1. In the top right corner of the interface, click your username or email address.
    A drop-down menu appears.

  2. Click My products.
    The My products page appears.

  3. Click Unpublish ico Marketplace Unpublish on the desired product line.
    The Product depublication dialog box appears.

  4. Select the Product end of life depublication motive and click Next.

  5. Specify the EOL date.

    Seller partners must respect a notice period of at least 3 months between the announcement of the OMI product EOL and its depublication. This means the EOL date of the OMI product must be at least 3 months away from the date this procedure is followed.

    3DS OUTSCALE sends reminder emails the day the seller partner decides to unpublish the OMI product, 5 days before depublication, and on depublication day.

  6. (optional) Specify a replacement product.

  7. Click Unpublish.
    The product page is deleted from the catalog and the OMI product is set to be unpublished from the Marketplace at the specified date. Subscribers and their organization administrators are informed by email.

Unpublishing an Outsourced Product

To unpublish an outsourced product:

  1. In the top right corner of the interface, click your username or email address.
    A drop-down menu appears.

  2. Click My products.
    The My products page appears.

  3. Click Unpublish ico Marketplace Unpublish on the desired product line.
    The Product depublication dialog box appears.

  4. Click Unpublish.
    The product is unpublished from the Marketplace.
